Artificial High Directional (AHD) Course
5th Points offers this course as Competency Based Training for rope access technicians who are looking to incorporate a TerrAdaptor™ or similar artificial anchor systems into their work scope to by pass hazards such as, glass balustrades, abrasive edges or pultruding gutter edges.
This is a two-day course offered to businesses and individuals. Fully certified IRATA and TAE Trainers with relevant industry experience deliver the course materials, ensuring that a wealth of experience underpins the training that we offer.
Course Outline
This Competency Based Training is a two-day course (approximately 6-8 hours per day) and provides basic knowledge of components, set-up, and physics involved in using a TerrAdaptor™ safely and effectively. The course includes:
- Rigging theory and concepts
- Artificial High Directional use
- Incorporating the physics when setting up a TerrAdaoptor™
- Anchor selection and techniques for securing a TerrAdaoptor™
- Practical workshops for setting up AHD’s and transporting personnel in a three-dimensional space
Note: This course does not train the skills and knowledge necessary for working at height, or work in suspension using rope access techniques.

Course Costs
$750pp (however, if you have previously trained at 5th Point, take advantage of our special price $700pp – please call us to book).
Full payment is required prior to the commencement of the course. Payments can be made online, by cash, direct deposit, or credit card over the phone.
