Terms and Conditions for IRATA Courses:

Bookings

IRATA Course bookings are only confirmed, once full payment of course fees has been received.

Positions are limited on all courses and cannot be reserved.

If an invoice is issued for a course, your position on that course is not confirmed until full payment of course fees has been received.

Candidates have 6 months to redeem a course booking.

Pre-Requisites

All course candidates must be a minimum age of 18 years, and have an aptitude for working at heights.

The IRATA course fees include 4 days of training plus one assessment day (5 days in total).

All candidates are required to sign a medical declaration form for Courses, as they can be quite physically demanding. All information disclosed on these forms is kept private and is not available to the public.

From the 1st of May 2014: all candidates wishing to re-validate IRATA qualifications must attend four days of training before they can sit the assessment. All existing IRATA technicians must supply their IRATA Logbook on the first day of training for review. Failure to present a correctly filled-out IRATA Logbook for upgrades and re-validations may result in the inability to sit Assessment.

All IRATA Course candidates who train in Sydney have 60 days from date of IRATA Assessment to redeem a free RIIWHS204D Work safely at heights course. This course is non-transferable, nor is it deductable from the course fees of an IRATA Course. It’s free for those who need it.

Assessment

If the Instructor or the candidate think that assessment should not be undertaken, candidates can come back on the next available course with space and receive as many days extra training as required and undertake the assessment for no extra cost.

If a candidate fails the assessment, candidates are welcome to come back on the next course with available space and receive as many days extra training as required for free and undertake the assessment. The only cost will be $700.00 AUD for the re-assessment.

  • Candidates have 60 days to attend their re-assessment.
  • After 60 days, candidates are required to attend four days of training prior to sitting their re-assessment.
  • Over 6 months from the date of original assessment, candidates are required to pay all four days of additional training prior to sitting their re-assessment.

In cases of extreme hardship or medical conditions, please contact 5th Point.

If you fail to show up at the commencement of your scheduled IRATA Course, you will not be provided with a refund.
