*Complimentary RTO Accredited course is available upon full payment of a 5th Point IRATA course (Sydney only). You have 60 days from the date of your IRATA assessment to claim this free course. RTO Accredited courses are offered frequently throughout the year. Please view the RTO Accredited course calendar on our RTO Training page or feel free to contact us for more information.

PRE-REQUISITES

All course candidates must be a minimum age of 18 years, and have an aptitude for working at heights.

The IRATA course fees include 4 days of training plus one assessment day (5 days in total).

All candidates are required to sign a medical declaration form for Courses, as they can be quite physically demanding. All information disclosed on these forms is kept private and is not available to the public.

All candidates wishing to re-validate IRATA qualifications must attend four days of training before they can sit the assessment and meet all IRATA training pre-requisites.

All IRATA course candidates who train in Sydney have 60 days from date of IRATA Assessment to redeem a free RTO Accredited course. This course is non-transferable, nor is it deductable from the course fees of an IRATA Course. It’s free for those who need it.

LOGBOOKS

Effective 15th July 2024 – Revalidating Level 1 IRATA technicians who have misplaced their logbook will now be able to request a replacement logbook at the time of training through the IRATA training member company (TMC). Therefore, revalidating level 1 IRATA technicians will be permitted to sit their IRATA training and assessment without prior presentation of their logbook but must meet the requirements above for ordering a replacement.

IRATA Level 2 and 3 technicians must meet the below logbook criteria – Your IRATA logbook MUST:

  • Be presented to the IRATA Instructor on the first day of training for review
  • Be up-to-date with all completed hours and signed off
  • Have sufficient hours logged for technicians wishing to upgrade
  • Be presented to the IRATA Assessor on Assessment Day

Failure to present a correctly filled-out IRATA Logbook (IRATA Level 2 & 3 ONLY) for upgrades and re-validations will result in the inability to sit the Assessment and the full course fee will be forfeited.

ASSESSMENT

If a candidate fails the assessment, candidates are welcome to come back on the next course with available space and receive as many days extra training as required for free and undertake the assessment. The only cost will be $700.00 AUD for the re-assessment.

  • Candidates have 60 days to attend their re-assessment.
  • After 60 days, candidates are required to attend four days of training prior to sitting their re-assessment.
  • Over 6 months from the date of original assessment, candidates are required to pay all four days of additional training prior to sitting their re-assessment.

In cases of extreme hardship or medical conditions, please contact 5th Point.

If the Instructor or the candidate think that assessment should not be undertaken, candidates can come back on the next available course with space and receive as many days extra training as required and undertake the assessment for no extra cost. NB. This offer is only valid once per course undertaken. Any further date changes to assessment re-bookings will incur the $700.00 AUD re-assessment fee.
